Remuneration Module

The “Remuneration” module gives you the opportunity to apply flexible payment methods of managing  the payments of  your staff, consistent with your organization policies and processes.

This module has the following options:

  • Remuneration as a percent or/and  fixed amount before and after discounts;
  • Remuneration as a percent or/and fixed amount individually set for each staff member in your clinic;
  • Remuneration as a percent or/and fixed amount individually set for each different procedure;
  • Remuneration as a percent or/and fixed amount- general for all procedures;
  • Detailed inquiry for all completed procedures according to a selected period and staff member;
  • Detailed inquiry for procedure’s price and total payment due according to the completed procedures;
  • Automatic expense creation and visualization in Cashbook and Expenses;
  • Reports by doctor and procedures;

1. Remuneration Settings

PracticeDent provides you with flexible settings and methods for managing your staff members remuneration , consistent  with your clinic’s policies and processes. You have the opportunity to set the remuneration as a percent from the procedure’s price and/or fixed amount, you can also set different or the same remuneration percent or/and fixed amount  for each different procedure.

1.1 Setting fixed percent and/or fixed amount for all procedures

Step 1: Go to Practice Cockpit, Medical Practice, Staff. Choose the staff member’s profile you want to set the remuneration parameters for and click on the “Edit” button:

Step 2: Set the following remuneration parameters

Fixed amount: Set a fix amount as a remuneration. This fixed amount is applicable for all procedures.

 

% from Procedure: Set the remunerations as a % from procedures. This % is applicable for all procedures.

Base for %: before or after discount.

Before discount: The remuneration amount is based on the procedure’s price before the discount (base price).

After discount:The remuneration amount is based on the procedure’s price after the discount (procedure’s price after the discount).

 % timing: before or after the patient pays

  • Before the patient pays: Remuneration  can be received and the procedures will be visible in the “Remuneration” section when the invoice is issued ( a payment from the patient is not required).
  • After the patient pays: Remuneration can be received and the procedures will be visible in the “Remuneration” section  when the invoice is issued and paid by the patient.

1.2 Remuneration as a percent or/and fixed amount individually set for each procedure

PracticeDent gives you the opportunity to set a different fixed amount or/and % for each procedure and staff member in your clinic.

Step 1: Go to Practice Cockpit, Medical Practice, Price List and select the procedure you want to set the remuneration parameters for.

You can set the remuneration parameters for standard and custom procedures.

Step 2: Set remuneration parameters per procedure

The parameters you need to set for each procedure are as follows:

Include in Remuneration: Yes|No

All procedures are included in the remuneration by default.

Doctor: Select a doctor from the drop-down menu

Override procedure %: Set remuneration % for this procedure for the selected doctor

Fixed procedure payment: Set fixed procedure payment for the selected doctor.

2. Remuneration Process

After the procedure has been invoiced (paid) you can make the payment to the specific staff member according to the remuneration parameters already set.

Please notice that procedures will be ready for payment processing in the “Remuneration” section according to the specific staff member remuneration settings.

 % timing: before or after the patient pays

  • Before the patient pays: Remuneration can be received and the procedures will be visible in the “Remuneration” section when the invoice is issued ( a payment from the patient is not required).
  • After the patient pays: Remuneration can be received and the procedures will be visible in the “Remuneration” section when the invoice is issued and paid by the patient.

Step 1: Create an invoice/pay an invoice ( according to the remuneration settings)

Step 2: Go to the “Remuneration” section and select the staff member you want to process the payment to:

After you have selected  staff member from the list you can check all details before processing the payment

Information regarding fixed remuneration, % from procedure, remuneration parameters

Period: Set period ( procedures are invoiced/paid)

+Fixed amount: Click on the “+” button and then “+Fixed Remuneration” to add the fixed remuneration ( already defined in the staff member’s profile), as it it not automatically added.

You can also change the amount if required.

The Remuneration list fields are as follows:

Filter: Unpaid, Partially Paid and Paid:You have the possibility to filter the remuneration list according to their status.

The fields in the Remuneration list are as follows

Select procedure box: Select the procedures that should be processed for payment

Code: Procedure’s code

Procedure: Procedure’s name

Invoice N: The invoice number applicable to the procedure

Price: Procedure’s price

Info: Remuneration details: % procedure or/and fixed amount per procedure

Due: Remuneration due per procedure

Paid: Remuneration paid per procedure

Paying now: Total remuneration due

 

Step 5: Processing payment

To process a payment, select the procedures that should be included and click on the “Pay” button.

You can also add a payment’s name ( e.g May 2015).

Press the “Edit” button in order to make a partial payment:

The payment is now available in the “Payment” section from where it can be approved, printed in PDF or/and automatic expense to be created.

3. Approve Remuneration Amount

After the payment has been processed, the staff member should check the remuneration details  ( list of procedures included in the remuneration) and click on the “Approve” button.

4. Create Expenses

PracticeDent gives you the opportunity to create an automatic expense for the remuneration’s amount.

The expense created is reflected in the Cash book with its attributes ( account, contra account, sum and e.t.c.).

To create an expense, click on the “Expense” button

5. Revenue per doctor and procedure

You can also generate, download or print a revenue report per procedure and doctor according to a predefined period in the “Revenue” section.

Step 1: Select a doctor from the drop-down menu
